About — Styles Shortridge

Hi, my name is Styles Shortridge. I'm from San Clemente, CA. I study electrical engineering at UC Irvine which allows me to engage in a wide range of compelling subjects. For this, I'm very fortunate.

Electrical engineering plays a critical role in today's information-centric economy. As the number of sensors and data processors continue to grow, so will the volume of data moving through the world. And while this growth is often credited to the computer sciences, it depends entirely on EE for the transmission, reception, low-level processing and conversion of that information in the physical layer. Odd as it sounds, I find that reassuring that the world will always need electrical engineers.
